Joseph Gobillot brings a strong pitching background and a passion for teaching the fundamentals of the position. A Houston native, he played high school baseball at St. John’s School before competing at the Division I level at Vanderbilt University for two seasons. Joseph was later drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays and spent four years playing professionally.
Following his playing career, Joseph transitioned into coaching, where he now focuses on helping pitchers develop the right way. He currently coaches the 13U and 14U teams for Texans Baseball. The most rewarding part of coaching for Joseph is passing along the knowledge he’s gained throughout his career and finding the best way to communicate it to help others succeed. He is excited to watch Texans pitchers compete and perform this upcoming season. Outside of baseball, Joseph enjoys watching sports, staying active, spending time outdoors, and seeing friends.
