Alex Lopez played collegiate baseball at McLennan Junior College before finishing his career at the University of Houston. He began coaching in 2024, following his playing career, and currently coaches the 9U, 12U, and 15U Texans teams.
The most rewarding part of coaching for Alex is watching players grow in confidence and resilience, knowing the lessons they learn extend far beyond the field. He values helping players learn how to handle failure, be great teammates, and show up each day with effort and a positive attitude—skills they carry into school, relationships, and life. Alex looks forward to continuing to develop his players while enjoying the game along the way. When he’s not coaching, he enjoys going for walks.
